Vancouver Day Trip?

Postby WinterTrips » Sat Dec 15, 2007 9:34 pm

Any interest in a day trip back to Vancouver? I would anticipate having a group bus that would drop us off and pick us up somewhere in downtown Vancouver. You would have the day to roam Vancouver and shop, visit museums, Stanley Park or other sites at your leisure. Leave Whistler perhaps around 8:00 am and return around 6:00 pm or so. Anticipated transportation cost would be around $75. Admissions, meals, and other costs would be extra. Exact costs would depend on number of people participating and final bus costs.

The Canucks have 3 games that week, unfortunately they are all on the road.

Depends

Postby WinterTrips » Thu Dec 20, 2007 7:24 pm

Downtown to Stanley Park depends on what part of downtown and what part of Stanley Park. From the eastern part of downtown to the Aquarium at Stanley Park is probably 1 1/2 miles or so. Much of that could be walked along Robson St. which is Vancouver's version of Michigan Ave. Buses (#19) are available from downtown to Stanley Park ($2.50 fare).
