I plan on being up to Chestnut Mtn by Galena Friday Dec 14th all day. I will be going part way up there on Thursday night. I will have a beginner with me but it should not take us long to get to the blues.

If anyone wants someone to ski with or has an inexperienced skier they want help with let me know.

I will probably be up to Chestnut another time before January if I can.

Hi Randy, I am also new in skiing. I'm browsing online everyday to find tutorials and other skiing techniques. Last Friday I found this skiing site through google and I believe this site is really helpful specially for us. I'll share to you my new discovered site. Here's the link dude. http://www.abc-of-skiing.com/learn-skiing/

Some good pointers but nothing beats time on the slope. Which is where joining a ski club can come in handy. Its less intimidating when you've got friends and more experienced skiers around to encourage you and give you pointers. Also a good way to improve when you ski with other members that are better and they "safely" challenge you to go a little beyond your comfort zone.
