PACK OUR PARKS!
There is a state wide movement called POP Illinois (Pack our Parks) and they want everybody to visit a state park or historical site on November 1. The following is from their news release:
POP Illinois is intended to show the Governor that all of our parks are important to us. We are encouraging residents of our entire state to enjoy the recreational and educational opportunities available and to Pack Our Parks on November 1. There need be no planned activities, no special rallies; we just want people to go to their local State Parks, with 10:00-11:00am as a prime time for maximum attendance for media exposure.
The McLean County Wheelers will be leading a ride to the park to show support. Meet at Tipton Park in the south parking lot. Depart at 9:00am for Moraine View State Park.
